Some people find the ocean. Pepita was born towards it.
An ocean swimmer, a surfer, a surf lifesaver and a devoted early riser, Pepita's happiest mornings begin the same way — bare feet in the sand, coffee in hand, watching the sunrise with friends as the world quietly comes alive. It is in these unhurried hours, at the edge of the sea, that her photography finds its voice.
Pepita has spent over 25 years working as a graphic designer, shaping the visual language of surf, skate, snow, music and fashion magazines — the kind of industries that live and breathe by beauty, energy and authenticity. Most recently, through working at Studio Oi in Avalon, she has brought that same instinct to branding and communications, helping others tell their stories with clarity and intention.
Pepita Grace Studio is where that lifetime of looking closely at the world — and loving it — becomes art. Her photography collections, Salt + Light and On the Edge, are born from the Northern Beaches of NSW she calls home; intimate, elemental studies of water, light and time that invite you to slow down and truly see.
This is not photography from a distance. It is made from within the water, at the edge of the wave, in the first light of morning. It is the ocean, as only someone who deeply loves it could show you.
